SILF - International Symposium on Functional Linguistics is an event organized by Brazilian universities that completed a decade of existence in 2021. Previous versions of the event have taken place at the following universities:
-
I SILF – 2011 – Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul – Três Lagoas – MS
-
II SILF – 2013 – Federal University of São Carlos – São Carlos – SP
-
III SILF - 2015 – Fluminense Feral University - Niterói - RJ
-
IV SILF - 2017 – Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - Natal - RN
-
V SILF - 2019 – State University of Goiás – Cidade de Goiás - GO
As a consequence of the New Coronavirus pandemic – Covid19, we postponed the VI edition to 2022, when we hoped to be able to hold the event. As the uncertainties of the pandemic development still persist, we are programming the VI SILF, to be held in June, from 23rd to 25th, entirely online and based at the São Paulo State University (UNESP) – São José do Rio Preto.
The event brings together undergraduates, postgraduates and researchers from Brazilian universities and abroad who dedicate themselves to linguistic studies from different functionalist theoretical approaches.
